Snow Day!

Another snow day!  Another day off from school!  The local news says we had a 14.9 inch snowfall.  It looks more like 2 feet in some areas of our yard! 

While all this snow is kind of pretty, it's not exactly helping out my business!  On Monday, I did finish A's 'Bad-danna' Sundress.   But how can I get a really cute, outdoor, barefoot, summer-like photo with all of this snow on the ground?  Here's a picture I snapped with my phone.  These will be added to 'The Closet' soon!

The latest forecast says another inch tomorrow and they are tracking another storm coming for Tuesday/Wednesday of next week.  At least being stuck in the house allows me a bit more sewing time in between sledding, shoveling, and hot chocolates!

In the Works - A Summer Time Halter Dress

Monday is my day 'off'.  Not that I really have days 'off', but I don't go to my day job on Monday's.  I try to use Monday's to create something new for The Closet.  Adriana's Closet is my Etsy Shop.  This past Monday I found a fun and funky, black and white skull themed bandanna fabric.  It's call 'Bad-danna'.  I think it will make a really cool sundress for A.  I have it all cut out and ready to stitch up.  With any luck, it'll get finished and hopefully listed for sale this Monday!

Inspiration

Inspiration comes in many forms. I'm inspired to create by my children. I love to sew and craft and imagine with them. I'm inspired to learn by my husband. I love to learn new crafts, techniques, recipes, and skills. I'm inspired to practice and seek perfection. I don't always find it, but I work hard to be close.

I have known how to sew almost all of my life. The first project I ever chose to create, way back when, was a toddler dress for my then 2 year old sister. Who whould have thought that all these years later, I'd be sewing for my own little loves and others too?!

I am not exactly sure which direction this blog will take, but I do know that I will share updates of what I'm working on, showcase other crafters and artists, and discuss what inspires me!
